There is nothing better than biting into a fresh and hot homemade pizza, especially one where the base contains only 2 ingredients! Easy meals appeal to a lot of us now days, for me there is nothing like having a hungry toddler hanging off your right leg after walking in to the house after a busy day, and thats just one kid! The best thing with pizza is there is no right or wrong way with what goes on top, you can literally top it with ANYTHING! from vegetarian to chicken, meat and then you have spaghetti and bacon, yes a childhood favorite(if you haven't tried it then you must!)these really are a healthy and hearty meal. So heres the recipe to a pizza you wont need a recipe for its that easy!
1 cup self-raising flour ( if you don't have this just add 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda to every cup of flour ) plus extra for dusting (TIP) If you are making your own self raising flour make sure your ingredients are not past there use by date!
1 cup natural yoghurt
Your choice of toppings, I made a pizza with roast pumpkin and spinach topped with a garlic and yoghurt hummus. To make this you will need:
Handful of spinach
garlic and yoghurt hummus. Click here fore recipe
To make dough combine the flour and yoghurt in a bowl, at this stage it will be sticky and just coming away from the sides. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes. You will think its not working at the start but the more flour you add and the more you knead it will come together.
Roll out as one big pizza or two small pizzas and add your toppings. Bake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.
